Description: Light blue glaze covering the design of spade-shaped leaves and vertical lines . Bottom is also completely covered with the glaze, as was typical in the very early years. Bottom markings include Double-A, Van Briggle, date of 1903 and Roman Numeral III to indicate type of clay; all inscribed in the handwriting attributed to Artus Van Briggle. Design #171 is impressed.
