Designer: Early employees who worked with Ambrose Schlegel, recorded in writing that he was attributed to making all the plain designs.
Description: “C” refers to the size of the piece. There was also a “D” recorded, which is a smaller size. This piece is glazed in a shade of muted green. The Design #349 as well as the date of 1905 and all other markings appear to be hand inscribed.

Other: Artus Van Briggle started the method of using the letters “A, B, C, D, and E” to distinguish the different sizes of the same design.
