Bottom markings include the Double-A, Van Briggle & date of 1906 all in the handwriting attributed to Anne Gregory Van Briggle; impressed Design #480. This does not resemble Design #480, and does match Design #457. Body of vase is covered in an orange peel glaze, and there is a rim repair.

Other: J. Emma Kinkead attributed all the “plain shapes” to Ambrose Schlegel during the period following Artus’ death on 7-4-1904 and until Anne Gregory Van Briggle began designing again.
There have been several documented “mistakes” with incised Design numbers, and also later hand-written Design numbers.
