Description: A “plain” design attributed to Ambrose Schlegel in a beautiful dark blue glaze with a green glaze over spray around the top half of the vase. Bottom markings include the incised Double-A, Van Briggle, date of 1902, Design #83 and Roman Numeral III indicative of clay type; all in the handwriting attributed to Artus Van Briggle. There is also an incised or impressed tiny “square” mark underneath the Design #83, which significance is unknown at this time.
