Design #830

Design: #830

Date Designed: 1910

Designer: Anne Gregory Van Briggle

Description: The design is one of poppy pods surrounding the neck of the vase, with curving stems extending the length of the vase. The glaze is a thick blue curdled one, with hints of frosting. Bottom markings include the etched Double-A, conjoined & signifying Artus and Anne; and the date of “1914.” The photo of the bottom shows a loss of clay in the making; however, the glaze ring is complete and intact.

Dimensions: 7 1/4″ height

Other: The fortunate owner of this vase describes it as a near perfect Arts & Crafts aesthetic that screams organic. It is now appropriately displayed next to a piece of Grueby on a Stickley sideboard under a Fulper lamp! All collectors appreciate him sharing these photos for our enjoyment; thank you.
