Design: #879 Potpourri
Date Designed: 1911
Designer: unknown
Description: Plain small pot, with lid formed from flower petals. One example is what some collectors call Tobacco Brown glaze; the other Copenhagen Blue advertised by VBPCo in 1916.
Dimensions: 4 1/2″ height to top of lid.
Other: This is the only piece of which we are aware – never to have the Van Briggle trademark Double-A. It has been surmised by previous collectors that this potpourri was designed for perhaps a sorority at Colo. College; and carried instead, one of their markings on the bottom of each piece. No proof of that theory exists.
Collection: Private
